Spring Break

While Billy was on spring break we went to Tennessee to visit my family. While in Knoxville we went to a Turkish restaurant named Ephesus. It was pretty good for being in the states. We had Adana kebap, kavurma, baklava and cay. The Adana kebap was good it was like eating it in Istanbul but not as good as what you get in Adana, of course. Then we had a dish called "Chicken Tava" but I have no idea what tava is but it was pretty much like a kavurma from Marko Pasa. And the baklava was really good. And the cay was real Rize cay! It was even served in a cay bardak! It was fun to be able to speak a little Turkish. The owner has lived in the states 16 years and he is originally from Adana. He use to work on the base in Incirlik. So we are looking forward to eating there again when we go back to Knoxville.

We also went to Gatlinburg one day and had pancakes and went to the Aquarium. Bailey liked looking at all the fish but it was nap time so she didn't always want to have her picture taken.

Hey Billy and Elizabeth -
Here is something really funny - we flew all the way home to the States from Adana with the owner of that restaurant! I recognize him from the picture and that he owned a Turkish Restaurant in Knoxville - that is a small world. Quick Update - we are well, settled in Jackson, MS, waiting on the baby to arrive. Our email is jandjyates@gmail.com we would love to hear from y'all! Jared and Jayme
