Johnson Men

This is Jesse's Granddad and Uncle John. I know many think he looks a lot like Billy and he does have Billy's nose and dimples but he I think he gets everything thing else from these two men. Granddad is indeed his favorite! Granddad doesn't have a moments peace when Jesse comes to visit!

You're never too old...

Today our pastor preached on the forbearance of God. Romans 3:23-25 says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins." To think that in God's divine forbearance he passed over our sins not giving us what we deserved the second we sinned. It was a strong message on giving our life to Christ. During the invitation many came forward to receive Christ as Lord and Savior. But among those was a 96 year old lady walking down the aisle with assistance from her friend and her walker. Pastor Johnny asked her "why are you coming forward?" She answered "I want to give my life to Jesus!" Wow! 96 years old! No one is ever to old to see their need for Christ. Praise God! And to think of the divine forbearance God passed over this sweet lady all those years. Today she received by faith God's gift of grace to spend eternity with Him. This story and the message was just too good not to share.

Dollywood again!

When we go to Tennessee we sometimes go to Dollywood. Sounds crazy and sometime is when we go in the middle of summer on a hot and crowded day. But this trip to D-wood was great. The weather was cool and all the kids were in school so no crowds or long lines! And this time Jesse actually enjoyed riding the rides for the first time. He is becoming such a big boy. Anyway if you are near PIgeon Forge, TN we recommend a trip to Dollywood especially if your kids are 3 and under because they get in free!

Yummy!

One day I bought a Resee's Peanut Butter Cup for the kids as a treat for lunch. They loved it as you can tell by the smiles on their faces! Resee's make me pretty happy too!

Labor Day

The weekend of Labor Day we visited some great friends (Byron and Karen) that we hadn't seen since the day we left Turkey! And we finally got to see their new addition, Hudson! Well he's not so new anymore being a year old but it was so good to see him and his mom and dad. We went to a water park and all the kids had a blast. Jesse and Bailey loved the water slides. Bailey was not scared of any slide even the really big ones. And the faster the slide the better for her! Jesse was content on the kiddie slide but he could do it over and over again! Also on our trip we were able to see Bill Bey and Becca Hanim or as Jesse says Becca Hana. It was good to see so many dear friends!

she liked riding this slide but she preferred the big slides that you had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to!
