If our kids know how to do one thing it is make a mess! They love to get out every toy from the basket! You might think it is Bailey that gets out all the toys but Jesse loves to dig in that little basket! He's a digger. The mess in the pictures is mild compared to some days and at least it is just in the living room and not in two or three rooms like it normally is when I let them play in Jesse's room together. Oh well they have fun making those messes!
Yes it's hard to believe but Jesse is already 10 months old! Only two more months before he is one! It seems like this first year is flying by more than Bailey's first year did. As you can tell he is growing, growing, growing! Everyone says he is a big boy! He has 5 teeth and starting to eat some table food. He also started clapping today! It was so cute!
For Father's Day we got Billy a hammock but we just now got around to putting it together. It wasn't hard we had just been lazy and plus it's been to hot to stay outside long enough to sit it in. Bailey loves sitting it. I'm sure we will put it to good use!
Bailey's new thing is to call us "mom" and "dad". I don't know why she started saying it. All day it's "what's that mom?" - "sorry, mom" - "hey dad" - "help me dad." I'm not even sure where she heard this but I wish she would go back back to momma and daddy. It just sounds so grown up and we aren't ready for that! I mean it's funny to hear but where did she come up with it?!
On Saturday we went to New Orleans. It was fun to get away with out the kids but of course we missed them! We got to eat lots of good food - shrimp poboys, gumbo, crawfish corn bisque, muffaletta and of course beignets! I got to see my good friend Vanee, who met us for lunch and dinner. I love New Orleans and so any chance I get I love to go! I love NOLA!
Amazigh (pronounced Amazeer) is an exchange student from Tunisa. He is only staying with us for two weeks until he goes to be with his "real" host family. We are just the arrival family. Billy got him enrolled in high school and takes him to school everyday. He also had to go with him to buy a uniform and school supplies. I guess we are getting practice for when our kids get older! We took him to New Orleans on Saturday for the day. He loved it. He wants to live there sometime. We've enjoyed having him with us.
I love to watch this show - Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. If you've never watched and you love food then you should watch it! Guy Fieri goes all over the U.S. visiting restauants with amazing food or hopefully it is amazing. Well in May I saw Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert, AZ was featured. I was so excited because I was going to Gilbert (Phoenix) in August! So I made it a must to visit. Andrea graciously indulged me and took me since it was close to her house. I had the Fontina Hamburger that was featured on the show and I thought it was great along with the onion rings and a fantastic strawberry milkshake! So if you are ever in Phoenix I highly recommend it. You can also go to the D,D&D website and see if he has been to a restaurant near you!
Well it is hard to believe Jesse is 9 months old. He is so sweet. His little smile will just make you melt. Today I took him to the doctor and he weighs 21 1/2 lbs. (with clothes & diaper on) and 28 3/4 inches long. He is sitting up well but still not crawling. He does get around by scooting on his bottom. It is funny to watch. I will put him down in one spot and turn around and he has scooted somewhere else! He also has 4 teeth - two on bottom and two on top. And he is starting to grunt and make little boy noises. We have a lot of noises in this house between his grunts and Bailey's squeals!
