Gymnastics

Bailey decided this year that she did not want to take ballet and so she has moved on to gymnastics. When I think of gymnastics I always think of Mary Lou Retton. I guess I am showing my age because she rose to fame in the 1984 Olympics. I can remember wanting to be a gymnastic star after that. Of course didn't happen incase you were wondering.

So off we went to gymnastics. I was glad the only thing I had to buy was a leotard since we spent a few plus bucks on ballet. But trying to save a buck I thought maybe she could just wear her black leotard from ballet. It was ok but it showed her panties just a little so she opted to wear a pair of shorts over it after we had a tiny weeny little drama about it. :) So this week we will be going to Target to buy a new leotard.

It was was fun to watch her learn something new. She was really cute and did great for her first time. So proud of her. She loved every second of it and said she wanted to take more classes!

Both my girls took a 10 wk gymnastics class when they were 3 1/2 yrs old. I really believe it helps with balance and learning to fall (clutzyness runs in the family). Seriously, the way they climb and play at playgrounds I thankful for this foundation.

Enjoy!
