Just wanted to share a few more pictures of our sweet little boy and of course we have to put our sweet little girl in there as well! Both of them take after their mother that's why they're so sweet!
Below is a picture of the newest member of our family. Jesse was born at 3:08 PM. He was 7lb 10 1/2oz. and 19 3/4 inches. He is really tired from the delivery and is happy that it is over. We look forward to hearing from you all. If you want to see more pictures from the day then go to www.dropshots.com/billyjamesjohnson.
On Saturday some coworkers and people I go to church with gave me a surprise baby shower. I was really surprised! It was fun and I got lots of great things for Jesse. It was a little strange this time getting all blue things instead of all the pink things I got with Bailey. Blue, blue, blue. And it's hard to believe he will be able to wear all that little stuff. Well here are a few pictures of the shower. The shower was such a blessing!
The other day I made a cake and sat it on the table to cool. Well a little while later Bailey decided she needed to try the cake so as you can see she helped herself to the cake. She took some of it and then came walking in the living room like it was ok to do that. Then while I was taking the picture of what she just did she decided to help herself again!
Since we have been living in this new apartment, which is only 5 months, I have gotten two cartons of eggs where every egg in the carton had a two yolks! Isn't that weird?! The first time it happened I just thought oh that's funny but after the second time I think there must be a chicken somewhere in Turkey that lays all her eggs this way. Has anyone else had that happen before?
I know the video is blank but you can hear the drummer that woke me up! Actually there were two maybe even three drummers walking around my neighborhood last night. Some of you know why but for those who don't let me explain. Right now it is Ramazan in Turkey, which is their holy month. During this month, which started September 12, everyone wakes up early and eats and then fasts from sun up to sun down and then eats again until the sun comes up the next day. So before there were alarm clocks they had drummers come around to wake everyone up but some traditions never die! This is the first time I've heard it in our neighborhood since Ramazan started which as many times as I go to the pee in the middle of the night you think I would have heard before now but I haven't. So tonight as I was dreaming I was thinking, oh, there's a band in my dream but no it was the drummer. So I decided to get up and video him. I could see him even though on the video it is all black. I know your thinking who would get up to do that?! Well I get up anyway to pee all the time anyway due to the pregnancy so one more time wasn't a big deal. And for all of you who miss hearing the drummer you can come to our blog whenever you want to get your fix of the little drummer boy. And he's actually not a boy but more in the range of a 17-30 year old, I would say. So after he was finished I couldn't go back to sleep. It woke Jesse up and so it took him quite a long time to get settled down again. So it was after 4am before I got back to sleep. But for those of you missing the drummer boy then get your fix here!
This fall marks the 5th year my friend, Kim, found out she had breast cancer. It has been a long road at times but she continues to fight! The Lord has healed her and continues to sustain her during this second go-around and so we give God the Glory for all He has done! October 20 in Knoxville is the Race for the Cure. Kim's team is trying to raise $2500 and right now they are a little short. Please consider giving to this worthy cause to fight breast cancer. But most importantly please continue to pray for Kim's healing in the name of Jesus Christ.
A note from Kim:
Please join our efforts in the fight against breast cancer today. You can join; donate; and ask others to join or just donate. Every little bit helps. God has been so good and blessed me so much through all this. He has blessed me with great doctors and nurses and especially my family and friends. But God is my greatest friend and healer. And with His help, we can make this the biggest team yet and the one that has raised the most money. We can do it because " . . . with God all things are possible." Matt.19:26
