Cafe Efendi

On Friday night we decided to go eat at a Turkish restaurant, Cafe Efendi. It was really good. We didn't have high expectations but it was really good! We ordered sigara borek, which was one of our favorites in Turkey and something I made weekly. It was really good. We also ordered lahmacun, which was not so good but oh well. And for our main dish we had iskender and it was great! It tasted like the real deal. We also got to speak a little Turkish with a couple of the waiters. So that was fun but really made us dig deep for some words we haven't used in over a year! And the restaurant also reminded us of one in Istanbul because they did not have the air conditioner on so it was a little warm. Good memories. Next time I want to try the kunefe and sutlac. Oh and Jesse had his first taste of ayran. He liked it. And Bailey hadn't drank it in a long time so I was afraid she wouldn't like it anymore but she couldn't get enough of it! So I guess I'll have to start making it again!

it says Mediterranean cuisine but it is really Turkish
