Yesterday Billy and I went to a youth camp for the day. There are several LC students that work at the camp so we just hung out there for the day. Several times during the day I kept thinking - "surely I didn't act like that when I was a teenager!"

Jesse's new toy

Well Jesse has upgraded to a new toy. He got tired of laying on the floor or just sitting sometimes so we got him a new toy. He loves it and spins around and around. Bailey loves it too. Tonight while I was feeding Jesse I looked up and she was sitting in it! She can't stand it that Jesse gets something and she doesn't. She still wants to use the baby swing and would, if I let her!

Shaving with Daddy

Billy decided he would have fun with Bailey while he was shaving and put shaving cream on her face. She loved it and thought it was funny.

Princess Slippers

As you know Bailey is a princess and she even has her princess slippers like Cinderella. She loves to clunk around the house in them. She has a princess dress (actually a Snow White outfit) but she refuses to wear it because it is not comfortable. She put it on once and wore it for 2 seconds. And then started whining "off, off." So she only wears the slippers. She is into comfort. She will not wear anything that is uncomfortable or hurts. Hmmmm...is that normal for a girl?

Sigara Borek but not really

Yesterday I tried to make one of my favorite Turkish foods, sigara borek. I made it at least once a week the last 6 months we lived in Turkey. I tried using feta cheese because people say it is the most like beyaz peynir but not really. It's kinda like saying milk tastes like coke but not really. The cheeses have the same texture but not taste! So I was a little disappointed. Maybe I should try making my own beyaz peynir. Not sure how to do that but I can find anything on Google, right?

My Big Helper

This morning I put Jesse in his chair and sat his yogurt on the table and then went to tell Billy something. When I came back this is what I found...

Bailey had decided that she would be my helper and feed Jesse. She did an ok job except for the fact that I had to change his clothes afterwards because she had spilled yogurt all over his shirt and pants. But he was happy no complaints from Jesse!

Brotherly and Sisterly Love

Bailey loves to love on Jesse. On this day she would get behind him and hold him (against his will). She kept saying, "I hold you Jesse, I hold you." So cute! I'm sure in a few years she will be saying "Get off me Jesse!"

How did this happen?

While I was cooking Jesse was playing in the floor and when I looked up I found him like this. I know he did it by himself because Bailey wasn't home. I guess he found a new way to play with his little gym.

Our Trip to the Lake

While in TN Bailey, Jesse and I got to go to the lake with some friends. Bailey was very excited because she got to ride in a boat and swim (in a pool, not the lake). She loved being on the water but hated the life jacket because it was a little too big. I was able to spend time with friends I haven't seen in years.
