I finally got to meet Bill Bey and Aunt Rebecca. The last time they were in Turkey I hadn't arrived yet. So yesterday we spent the day together.

Last week I went to the mall with my friends Andrea and Rebecca. Going to the mall with them now is a little different than it was 4 months ago. Everyone was looking at us. I wonder why? At times we looked like a train walking around some of the stores. It was pretty funny but Bailey, Adeline and Landon were pretty cute in their little strollers!

Go To Hell

yes you read that right. This is what the t-shirt said on this guy as he walked past our taxi. Actually it read - "Go To Hell 666". Hmmmm...do you think he knows what his shirt says? Probably not. It is very common that Turks wear shirts with English writing on it and they have no idea their shirt has profanity on it or something written like "Chick Magnet". I read that one, one time too! Anyway, those are things to ask the Father that these people would have a clear understanding of heaven and hell.

Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce is one of the three professional futbol (soccer) teams in Istanbul. This is Billy's favorite team while mine is Besiktas. Unfortunately our good friend Vural gave her this outfit. I told him she would never wear it but I gave in. Anyway I had to take a picture to prove to him she wore it.

This week we had a good friend from Texas visit. He brought Bailey a few gifts including a t-shirt from his band which is called the Jeff Berry Band. At least it wasn't some Texas t-shirt! Doesn't she look cute in it?! Jeff and his sweet wife, Anna, just had their own baby, Parker. Parker is 3 weeks older than Bailey. We can't wait to meet him one day. Photo shoot with Landon

Last night our friends Scott, Rebecca and Landon came into town and spent the night with us. So we got a few photos of the two together. Bailey is 5 days older than Landon. She just kept looking at him. It was pretty funny with the two together.

Dr. Pinar

Bailey went to the doctor yesterday for her 2 month check-up. She weighs 5.500kg and is 62cm long. Ok for those who aren't up on the metric system she weighs 12lbs. 2oz. and is 24 1/2 inches long. She also got a shot but cried for only a second. We go back when she is 4 months old.

Look at Me!

My mommy always wants to put me on my stomach to see what I'll do so here it is...she really wants to see if I will roll over but I only do that when mommy and daddy aren't looking! I'm sneaky...he he :)

Actually Bailey only rolls over when she is really mad in her bed and wants to be picked up. Maybe one day I'll get to see it or get a picture of it without her having to pitch a fit.

Our trip to the Big Island

Yesterday we went to the Big Island close to Istanbul. No kidding that's the name of the island - in Turkish it is Buyuk Ada but translated means Big Island. Anyway, we had church on the island and then had a picnic lunch. It was fun. Getting to and from was quite a deal. We had to take a taxi, then a boat, then a dolmus, then another boat and then walked 45 min up a hill. Yes, we got our exercise in! It was a fun day. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

One last mouth watering post...Cinnabon's!!!!!

These Cinnabon's hit the spot after our Mother's Day lunch we had at the mall. But our supper was much better with steak and baked potatoes! Ok back to the Cinnabon...oh it sure was good. I can taste it now! Billy enjoyed as you can see!

Ella Kathryn Thrasher is here!

Another new cousin is here! Billy's sister, Lelia, had a baby girl May 5 at 12:48am. She weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Bailey will have someone to play with now when she visits her family in LA. We can't wait to see her! She is beautiful!
