Merry Christmas!!

Disney Day 3

Today started out bright and sunny but as soon as we got to Magic Kingdom it started to rain! We had to buy ponchos and Billy's umbrella. The latest in fashion from Paris! The good thing about the rain was the lines were short to ride the rides. Some rides 20 min, some 5 min or so and some no wait at all! We did go at the best time of year which also helped. Anyway the kids had a great time. I hardly took any pictures because of the rain. Tomorrow Disney Holllywood Studios!

Disney Day 2

Today was long but full of fun! We started the day at a character breakfast with Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso, June from Little Einsteins and Jake from the Neverland Pirates. The kids loved getting autographs and dancing with the "stars". Then off to Magic Kingdom and rode lots of rides like Dumbo, Goofy's roller coaster, the cars and Bailey also got to see Merida! After lunch we were tired so we headed back for a nap against the kids wishes but everyone took a two and a half hour nap! Getting up early and going at it all day makes for tired kiddos and adults! After naps we headed out back to the Magic Kingdom for a parade but it was delayed so we just went and rode rides wait free! #happykidshappy parents! And the last thing was fireworks. I don't think our kids have ever seen real fireworks so it was retry exciting. Great day at the Magic Kingdom. Let's do it again tomorrow!

First day at Disney World

We are thankful to be on a trip to Disney with Billy's mom. This is the kids first time and they had a great first day at Epcot. I have only been once 16 years ago and Billy has been once when he was about 5. So we are just as excited! Tomorrow off to Magic Kingdom!

Kindred Spirits

In July, I was able to see two really good friends from my days of living overseas. I had the privilege of seeing these ladies come to Istanbul on a short term trip and then return to live for a couple of years. And then we quickly became friends! Now we are scattered and it is harder to see them as often as I would like so I guess I will have to live with every 3-4 years! Rindy is going back overseas and so I knew we had to get together and thankfully it happened! We spent a few days camping in Iowa. Neither Teri nor I are really campers but I made an exception to see these great friends. We had a camper cause if it had been tent camping I would have drawn a line and we would have met at the beach instead of a lake in Iowa. The place wasn't really important. Just spending time with good friends was worth it. It was nice to be around kindred spirits.

We flew into Sioux Falls, South Dakota so Teri took us by some falls in the middle of town. It was really cool.

On the way to Iowa we had to drive through part of Minnesota! So we did the touristy thing and stopped to take a picture!

Then we made it to Iowa! We went to Lake Okoboji. See my t-shirt? Iowa Full of Crop. Get it? haha!

saw a rainbow while we were there. It stretched from the Wal-Mart to the Burger King. A pot of junk and a pot of hamburgers at the end of every rainbow!

one nice thing about the trip was that we got to meet Teri's husband for the first time. He fit right in! We showed our approval by giving him a really hard time! Unfortunately I don't have a picture of him.

Mexican Train! We played this game a lot around my table in Istanbul! We played it so much Rindy is not a fan anymore. But we made her play anyway! The only thing missing was Billy at the table.

1st Grade

Yesterday was Bailey's first day of 1st grade. Hard to believe! It's funny because there are four 1st graders in our subdivision and all four are in the same class! She said they had to write a sentence in class yesterday and she wrote that she was a little nervous the first day of class. I remember being a little nervous too. I can't believe my little girl is already and first grader! Praying for a year filled with lots of blessings for my Bailey Bug!

Brownie Makers!

Last week Granny got the kids a brownie maker. So one day Jesse said, "mom, let's make some brownies." So I got out all the stuff including the regular pan because I forgot about the fancy new brownie maker! So Jesse quickly reminded me! I had put on my apron to cook dinnner and make brownies so all the kids had to put their aprons on too! All they did was help stir because they were too busy playing with legos but they had to put their aprons on! They are so cute!

Rock Star!

Jack will sometimes say he wants to be a rock star when he grows up. Not sure where he got this because we aren't the type to watch MTV or even listen to rock star type music! Anyway, the other day Bailey helped him dress up like a rock star.
