The Streets of Istanbul

This is a picture of a hearse. More specifically this is a hearse for a Muslim. They use black hearse for Christians because green is the holy color for Muslims. Just thought this was something interesting and different from our culture.

Chocolate Fondue

We have a new place that opened up in Istanbul, Kahve Dunyasi or Coffee World. Anyway you can get chocolate fondue and fruit for about $3.50! It's great! I just loved the cute little fondue pot. I'm tying to figure out where I can get me one!

The Streets of Istanbul or rather sounds of Istanbul

For those of you who haven't been here this is part of the call to prayer. We hear the call to prayer five times a day. When people hear the prayer they are suppose to go the mosque to pray but as you can see in the video people are going about their daily business.

A Long Time Coming

Well we finally got to meet our good friend Mandy's husband, Mark. It was a long time coming! And Mandy finally got to meet Bailey which she has been dying to do for ll months now. We've had a great time with them the past few days as they came to visit us and other good friends and see Istanbul. We are so happy for Mandy and she has been blessed with a wonderful husband. We love them both.

Ernie and Bailey

Bailey got to play with a new friend on Saturday, Ernie. She loved Ernie! She followed her everywhere! Ernie is short for Ernestine. Poor Ernie couldn't go anywhere without her little shadow chasing her. Ernie would get close and Bailey would just laugh. It was so cute. Thank goodness Ernie didn't mind and she liked playing with Bailey as well.

Bailey got to play with two of her friends yesterday. Normally she gets to play with Adeline, which she gets so excited to see her but yesterday Landon came for a visit. They took turns playing with Landon's book. It was quite funny as they would take turns with the little bear. She had a good time with her friends.

Bailey hadn't seen her daddy all day because he left before she woke up so when he got home she was so happy to see him. She went straight into his arms and just squealed! Then when I took her took her so he could take off his coat she started crying. Sounds like a daddy's girl to me!

On the Move

Well Bailey got an early birthday present the other night from her Nany and Granddaddy and she loves it! She played with it for the first time before she went to bed and then she got mad when we took her away from it and put her in the bed! We should have waited until the morning but we were too excited! At first she wasn't too sure about it moving and her daddy had to help get her started but now you can see she's a real pro!
