Some of you may know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. There is probably not one person reading this blog who has not known someone with breast cancer. The facts I am about to share come from The Knoxville Affliate of Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in the U.S. About 211,240 cases of inavasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women this year and 40,000 women will die from breast cancer this year. There are over 2 million breast cancer survivors alive in the U.S. today and the number of deaths due to breast cancer seems to be declining! Praise the Lord!
I have a very dear dear friend, Kim, who has battled breast cancer for 4 years now. Kim is one of those survivors! Thank the Lord! We give him all the glory for healing Kim and continuing to allow her serve Him on this earth. This month there is a race in Knoxville to raise money to find a cure for breast cancer. Please pray for a cure. And please pray for Kim. Pray for her as she gets her team ready to walk and raise money. Pray God would give her strength.
We serve an amazing God! He is the God who heals every disease!
