The Grand Canyon

This was out first visit the Grand Canyon and it was amazing! Unbelievable! The pictures don't do it justice. It was well worth getting up at 5am to see! I have to say that it was a little scary not having any sort of railing. Billy kept saying, "this seems like Turkey with no fence." Of course, it's so big it's ridiculous to think a fence could be put all the way around but it just seems at the touristy spots it would have been necessary. We did pay to go on the Skywalk. It is a glass walkway that goes out over the canyon. Just a little scary to look down! We had a great time at the Grand Canyon. We can't wait to take the kids some day but that won't be for about 10 years. I would be a nervous wreck with Jack running around and no fence! :)

on the way we passed the "Joshua Tree Forest"

Viva Las Vegas!

Billy and I were able to get away for a few days last week to Las Vegas. Now, Las Vegas is not a place I would have picked but it was a work trip and we had never been so we went! Since we were out there we took the time to visit the Grand Canyon. Wow! It was amazing!

The first couple of days Billy spent in meetings. And, well this is where I spent it...

Gambling does not tempt me in the least little bit. I would rather blow my money on the food! You know how much we love to eat and try new places and boy did we try! We went to a Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse and Wolfgang Puck restaurants. Oh they were so good!   We also got to stay at The Venetian, which is the largest hotel in the world. It was also, I think the fanciest we have ever stayed at too. So so nice. I could get use to that kind of living!

Here are a few pictures from our trip. It was nice to get away and relax thanks to a great mother-in-law.

I'll post pictures of the Grand Canyon in another post.

Great People

We had a cookout for everyone that works in the office and their families about a week ago. We are so thankful for all of these people. They are all hard workers and make work a lot more fun! We hope to be working with them for many years!
