4 months

Our sweet baby boy is already four months old. He went yesterday for his check-up and he weighs 16 lbs. 2 oz. He weighs more than Jesse (15 lbs) or Bailey (14 lbs. 12 oz.) did at four months. So he is a big boy! At four months he is laughing, smiling and talking all the time. He is sleeping through the night from 9pm-6:30 or 7am. Thank goodness! He is rolling over from his stomach to his back. He is also reaching and playing with toys. And his is now to the point that he starts to cry if I put him down and walk away from him. He still loves the swing and normally takes his morning nap there. Bailey and Jesse continue to dote on him most of the day. We love our sweet Jack and can't wait to see him grow this next month!

This weekend we got out Jesse's old bouncy seat jumpy play thingy for Jack. (not sure what this thing is called -can you tell?!) He is still a little small for it but it still keeps him entertained for a little while as I try to get things done. Bailey and Jesse beg me to put him in it so they can play with it! So something else that takes up a lot of space in our living room! We have a swing, bouncy seat and now this thing all for Jack. Goodness the things babies need or what we think they need!

The circus came to town!

On Sunday we went to see the circus. Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus to be exact. Traffic was terrible so we got there late and then of course had to stop by the bathroom since both Bailey and Jesse are potty trained now so we didn't catch much of the first act. And we were so high up it was a little hard to see! Maybe next time I shouldn't wait to buy tickets the night before for the last performance! Oh well the kids had a good time. That's all that matters.

Sleeping Boys

Jesse sometimes gets out of bed during nap or at night and then just falls asleep in the chair, behind the door or in the floor as you can see today...

This day Jesse fell asleep on me before lunch time so I just laid him on the couch where he slept for 3 hours!

The other day I laid Jack down in his room to "play" while I fixed lunch for Bailey and Jesse. When I went to check on him he was quite and I found him like this...

Happy Mardi Gras!

Today was Mardi Gras! I know everyone doesn't get as excited as me but it is so fun! Fortunately I have two close friends who love it just as me so we celebrated tonight! I made a king cake today and they brought some fun beads. If you've never been you should try at least once! Call me and I might just go with you!

Tickle, Tickle

As you know Bailey loves to play with her little brother, Jack. She is starting to enjoy it more as he is interacting with her more these days. This day she found his tickle spot and he just laughed and laughed. It's funny to see her do the things that Billy and I do to make him laugh. And to hear her voice getting higher as she talks to him! Something I do when I talk to him sometimes! She makes me laugh!

Sledding...well sorta

We don't own a sled so the kids just decided to slide down on their little bottoms. It was cute. Not sure how they even knew about sledding but I guess they've probably seen it on TV. They had a blast playing outside in the snow. It wasn't much but it was just enough for these two!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

We finally got a real snow! Well you have to take "a real snow" into perspective for living in the south. I know it wasn't anything big but we could actually play in it and build a snowman. The kids loved it. They both had to have their blinds open so they could see the snow during nap because they were so excited. We, well I made a snowman but when I went inside to get a carrot for the nose guess who knocked it down. That's right Jesse. So we started over. It is nothing to brag about but Bailey was excited to put the carrot on his face. Then we had a snowball fight except it wasn't much of a fight because the kids wanted me to chase them around the yard throwing snowballs at them. I'm just glad they got to experience the snow and enjoy it! And I'm glad I got to play in it too!

it was so pretty. I love a fresh fallen snow!

Jack Rolled Over!

Yes this morning at 2:30AM Jack rolled over 3 times! I'm sure you are wondering how I know that he rolled over since I should have been asleep but he decided to start fussing so I went in to check on him. I tried patting his little butt which normally works but he just kept getting madder and madder until he turned himself over! He did it three times in a row. The first couple of times he surprised himself and stopped crying. He wasn't sure what happened! So a new adventure for little Jack! I'll try to get a video of it soon.

Fenerbahce

Even though Jack wasn't born in Turkey like his sister and brother he is still a fan of one of the three pro futbol teams in Istanbul. Although he would look much better in black & white. :) That won't make any sense if you don't know anything about Turkish sports.
